Soca Jams

Various Artists

Three years of digging in one compilation: sought-after soca cuts, raw 90s soca house and deep blends of reggae, calypso and disco, some pressed on vinyl for the very first time.

The compilation

Lost and obscured

Barney and Coco spent three years bringing these lost and obscured recordings back into the light, some of them now on vinyl for the very first time.

Every track was carefully remastered, and a few were edited or remixed for today’s dancefloor, while staying as close as possible to the brilliance of the originals.

The result is more than a collection of songs. It’s a celebration of soca’s rich heritage and its ability to bring together different cultures and very different moods, from joyous celebration to soulful reflection.

“Dancing music with the incredible power to unite different cultures.”
