Welcome to Sentinel Island

If you want to know what those rituals look like, you’ll have to dock at Sentinel Island. Think obscure soca, ecstatic (afro) disco and deep percussive grooves from Sentinel’s dark jungles. People like Barbara Boeing and San Soda like to visit too.

Our YouTube channel is known in the diggers’ scene for the rare gems we unearth from around the globe, and for the DJ edits we make from them. As a not-for-profit re-issue label we license, remaster and press those records back onto vinyl — from Ivorian reggae and Bronx gospel house to Rotterdam chutney disco and a whole compilation of soca.

As DJs we’re not afraid to mix these obscurities with classic Detroit- and Chicago-influenced house and techno. The result: dynamic, energetic and uplifting sets that have taken us from intimate club nights to festival stages like Down The Rabbit Hole, Lowlands and DGTL.

Together with illustrator and VJ Mirjam, the visual force behind the project, we hosted club nights at Lovelee in Amsterdam where all senses were stimulated.
